What a fantastic start to the new school year for Crew Godley! We are truly embracing our first week back, working together to build a strong Crew and lay the foundations for a successful year ahead.
We have begun exploring our Character Traits of Compassion and Respect, thinking about how we can put these values into action and create beautiful work in service of others and our school community.
Our first act of service was giving some much-needed love and attention to our Quad, which had been feeling the effects of the recent dry weather. We worked together to care for our shared space and make it a welcoming environment for everyone.
Getting to know one another has been another important part of our first week. We worked together with a parachute challenge, learning each other’s likes and dislikes, whilst trying to keep a ball moving on the parachute. It certainly tested our teamwork, communication and perseverance!
Today, we created Kindness Stones, linking beautifully to our Character Trait of Compassion. These stones will be hidden around our school grounds for some lucky Carcroft Crew members to discover. We hope that finding a little message of kindness will brighten someone’s day!
It has been a brilliant first couple of days for Crew Godley. We are already showing compassion, respect, teamwork and courage, and we can’t wait to see what we can achieve together this year.
